For over three decades Dr. Ranvir Pahwa has been involved in healing using natural medicine modalities. He comes from a family of Ayurvedic and Conventional medicine practitioners. His journey of medicine started from home via understanding what is better for health based on the Ayurvedic concepts of diet, lifestyle and the use herbal medicine. Additionally, Asana (Yoga) and Meditation was the part of his learning in his childhood.  Homeopathy was another safer healing modality to whom he fell in love with in India, which he studied and practiced charitably. However, later he studied in detail Ayurvedic Medicine, Homeopathy, Holistic Nutrition, Western Medicinal Herbs, Chinese Herbs, Reflexology, Acupuncture (Body Acupuncture and Auricular Acupuncture), Acupressure, and Magnetic Therapy. He started healing the sick in natural way. Dr. Pahwa has also studied Ayurvedic Marma Chikitsa (Therapy), Sound Therapy and Stone therapy. He keeps updating and upgrading in complementary and alternative medicine every year. His visit to France in Sep 2010 to learn more Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture and Auricular Medicine was another fascinating experience in natural medicine and the beautiful country and countryside. In 2010 Dr. Pahwa was honored with “ATREY AWARD” for the Excellence in Ayurveda Profession by the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America, USA. What is involved in Ayurvedic consultations?

 

Assessment

  • We assess health by reading Nails, Pulse, Tongue and Iris (Iridology); we check the body color, do face reading, check reflexes, palpate acupuncture/acupressure and Marma points on the body, hands and feet; palpate channels, and  check blockages. We use medical intuition also.
  • Patient’s Dosha (Prakriti) and vitiation in Dosha (Vikriti) is determined, as well as mental nature (Prakriti) is also determined. Also Dhatus are checked.
  • Additionally, Dr Pahwa uses holistic methods of testing (Kinesiology or Muscle Response Test) of chemicals, metals, wood, dust, various foods and fluids, herbs biochemicals and supplements for compatibilities.
  • Our focus is on whole health improvement.

Recommendations for the balance of the Body, Mind and Spirit balance

  • After assessing health we recommend individualized food, diet and nutritional program, with the emphasis on Dos and Don'ts (prevention).
  • We introduce Ayurvedic way of healing to our patients
  • Based on history and health assessment patient are strategically recommended herbs and supplements.
  • As needed patients are recommended the herbal cleansing of organs.
  • Rasayana Herbs and therapies are recommended for the rejuvenation of person.
  • Patient is also recommended Prayanayam (breathing exercises), Mediation (individualized meditation) and Yoga Exercises
  •  Abhyanaga (Massage) and Shirodhara (oil stream on the head) is recommended
  • For Joint problems Ayurvedic Basti methods are done.
  • Marma Point therapy.
  • Crystal and Gem therapies,  Sound therapy and Mantra meditation are also recommended for healing purposes
  • Stone (Hot or cold) Meridian therapy and heating methods are used for body aches and pains
  • Head  Champi Massage Rub  with Dosha oils.
